Process Engineer - Join Our Team of Innovative Professionals
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team of innovative professionals. As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in leading the management, implementation, and execution of technical projects. You will work closely with customers, software development teams, hardware teams, and product owners to investigate and triage issues in the field, identify defect patterns, and develop project plans that meet our transformation goals.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Leading technical aspects in the evaluation, troubleshooting, and implementation of new products and packages, working with market development teams and bottlers.
- Collaborating with technical teams in the execution of new technologies, processes, and innovative solutions and products in the market and providing technical operations support in the implementation of promotions and line extensions.
- Ensuring continuity of supply of our current packages and brands, reviewing sales trends, current production capacities, and capabilities; ensuring timely infrastructure availability and planning execution working with bottler technical teams to sustain business growth regarding manufacturing and logistics.
- Ensuring raw materials and package supply to support sales growth, ensuring supply continuity across end-to-end supply chains and acting as an enabler for system alignment to drive results.
- Driving productivity initiatives across the system (bottlers, suppliers, FU), identifying opportunities in the system to lower our supply chain costs and influencing the implementation of practices to improve the affordability of our products.
- Involved in the development of business plan objectives and working collaboratively to ensure the timely execution of technical supporting activities.
- Supporting package and product quality, co-leading to minimize the risk to the company and the brand, assuring compliance of technical policies in our bottler system, and influencing the bottler to make appropriate investments and improve human capabilities of their personnel in their operations.
- Reviewing prototypes and defining appropriate improvements to ensure brand fit and aligning with bottling partners on implementation and establishing necessary investment where needed.
- Coordinating and leading technical projects that require cross-system and cross-functional cooperation to deliver innovations in products, packaging, and promotions.
- Leading the review of new product market performance and putting in place a plan to address any technical product issues and deliver business requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Food Engineering or related field is required.
- 5+ years of experience in a fast-moving consumer goods company and the ability to leverage technical knowledge and provide competitive advantage.
- Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose resolutions.
- Ability to work independently, raise issues, and take corrective action.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and creative thinker with passion for quality processes.
- Fluent in software QA metrics, operations, and statistics.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Must have experience from concept to launch using a defined NPD or change management process.
- Ability to demonstrate strong project management experience with the ability to define and lead projects and direct/motivate project teams.
- Demonstrated track record of identifying and reducing to practice technologies for consumer-packaged goods companies to solve challenging business needs.
- Ability to refine solutions and manage internal and external partner expectations against technical and business success criteria with limited available resources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs (Word, XLS, PPT).
