Equipment Maintenance Specialist

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize tool workload to meet/exceed productivity and quality targets.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve production problems in a proactive manner.
  • Oversee overall equipment performance (OEE) across departments and drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing tools.
  • Develop and enhance planned maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate with supervisors on technical issues and implement lasting solutions to prevent problems.
  • Lead project teams in the development, verification, and validation of new processes as needed.
  • Evaluate process capability and determine calibration requirements for tooling and test equipment.
  • Address quality and technical issues promptly to minimize their impact on product supply.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of best practices in maintenance and apply them to improve standards.

Becoming an Equipment Maintenance Specialist requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You should be able to effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritize duties, and work well under pressure. A good understanding of maintenance procedures and a commitment to staying up-to-date with industry developments are also essential.
