Key Leadership Position

The job of a Director of Global Product Performance involves leading and managing the overall sustainable performance of the dairy and bakery enzyme categories, aligned to strategy and manufacturing capabilities as well as mobilizing and integrating cross-functional teams to define and manage execution parameters specific to technologies that enable successful delivery against strategies, profitability, and growth targets.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop optimized product portfolios aligned with strategy, including maintaining market-relevant collections and identifying innovation requirements, while considering the impact on manufacturing efficiency.
  • Establish efficient business terms, such as minimum order quantities, lead times, and stocking policies, to ensure competitiveness and support an enhanced customer experience, facilitating a more planned and efficient manufacturing environment.
  • Determine target margins and pricing guardrails to optimize financial performance, informed by a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape and total cost of ownership.
  • Identify levers to enhance margin, for example, plant transformation activities or process technology improvements.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience in management/leadership roles in enzymes, with a strong understanding of product and portfolio management.
  • Ability to drive change and growth of technology at a global level.
  • Experience working in a global matrix organization with strong influencing skills, demonstrated through influencing without authority.
  • Resilience in responding quickly to setbacks and challenges, maintaining a positive attitude and bringing teams along.
  • Strong experience in food applications for enzymes, including dairy, bakery, beverage, etc.
  • Well-established network in the industry, understanding the landscape, competitors, and market dynamics.
  • Strong understanding of enzyme science, not necessarily requiring a scientific background but able to understand and translate.
  • Experience in profit and loss management, making appropriate decisions for short and long-term goals.
  • Adept at managing senior stakeholders, communicating with clarity and confidence.
  • Commercial experience, including customer and market knowledge and skills.
  • Project management experience, particularly in managing new launches through a global organization.
