Main Responsibilities

  • Registration and booking of patient appointments using our hospital IT systems.
  • Accurate completion of patient admission forms and processing of medical records.
  • Liaising with various clinics and departments, consultants, and general practitioners to ensure effective patient management.
  • Providing patients with essential information prior to their appointment, including preparation instructions and cost details.
  • Maintaining accurate records of patient interactions and updating relevant information on our systems.
  • Responding promptly to patient inquiries and referring complex issues to senior staff members.

Requirements

  • Minimum Leaving Cert level qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar administrative role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues alike.
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive patient information.
