Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cable Technician to join our team. As a Cable Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the installation and maintenance of fibre networks, cable infrastructure and associated equipment.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with technology and wants to be part of a dynamic and innovative company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Replace and/or move HFC plant elements such as Taps, Splitters, Amplifiers, Line Extenders etc.
  • Install Network cables on both underground and overhead infrastructure.
  • Perform routine Optical Node, RF Amplifier and End of Line testing and balancing.
  • Maintain and interpret records of daily work logs, data recordings, and network design maps.
  • Operate communications devices and company vehicles in accordance with company policies.
  • Use Workflow Management in real time.
  • Work to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) set out by the Client.

Requirements:

  • Full training provided but preference will be on candidates who have related experience.
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
  • A good technician can identify issues and source information to resolve problems with machines and mechanics quickly.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and act independently whilst being able to work successfully as part of a team.
