Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QEHS Specialist to join our team. As a QEHS Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the site meets all standards and policies concerning quality and food safety. Maintaining a constant audit-ready state is essential.

This role contributes to improving EHS-related processes on-site and acts as the primary technical contact for customers, suppliers, and third-party relationships, including certifications and accreditations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Quality Management System, including HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP.
  • Provide technical support to other departments through education, advice, and problem-solving.
  • Maintain existing standards and cultivate a positive food safety culture within the organization.
  • Oversee and manage environmental, health, and safety (EHS) at the site level, ensuring compliance with legal and company EHS standards.
  • Lead internal and external audits.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, suppliers, and third-party relationships, including certifications and accreditations.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure elements are documented to the highest standards.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Degree-level education in Food Sciences or equivalent, with a proven track record as a technical specialist in a high-turnover food or FMCG environment.
  • Previous experience in a similar quality, safety, or environmental role with expert knowledge.
  • Fundamental experience as a food safety certification/licence auditor.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the food industry.
  • Ability to confidently deliver presentations to large groups.
  • Interdepartmental reporting relationship with site general managers.
