Key Worker in Addiction Services

This role is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Key Worker in Addiction Services. You will be working with individuals struggling with problematic alcohol use, providing high-quality support services in North Dublin City and County.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering key working and case management using evidence-based interventions
  • Managing a caseload of clients with problematic/dependent alcohol use, including the development and implementation of client-centred care plans
  • Supporting clients in dealing with personal issues related to their addiction and mental health
  • Engaging in targeted outreach work, prioritising the identification and engagement of relevant clients across all of the CHO 9 area
  • Working towards developing a central integrated care pathway in conjunction with funded services
  • Developing and delivering evidence-based workshops, group programmes and aftercare based on the needs of our client group
  • Developing links with relevant statutory, community and voluntary agencies

Key Responsibilities include:

Collaboration and Teamwork:
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the highest quality service delivery
  • Developing and fulfilling policies, quality standards, aims and objectives of our organisation
  • Attending and actively engaging in team meetings and client reviews
Administrative Duties:
  • Maintaining professional and up-to-date records in relation to work with clients
  • Producing and preparing progress reports, annual reports, logic models and other documents required
  • Promoting our services to relevant statutory, community and voluntary agencies
Education and Professional Qualifications:

Diploma in Addiction Studies level 7 or equivalent qualification is essential

Essential qualifications also include:

  • 2 years post-qualification experience
  • Addiction and Social Inclusion knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the principles of reducing alcohol-related harm
