We are seeking a skilled Addiction Practitioner to join our team in North Dublin City and County.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one key working and case management using evidence-based interventions to support individuals struggling with problematic alcohol use.
  • Develop and implement client-centred care plans for clients with dependent alcohol use, including managing their caseload and providing referrals to relevant services.
  • Engage with clients to address personal issues related to their addiction and mental health, such as housing, welfare rights, medical treatment, and community development.
  • Prioritize outreach work to identify and engage relevant clients across the CHO 9 area, developing targeted interventions and strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with the HSE and funded services to develop an integrated care pathway for clients.
  • Design and deliver evidence-based workshops, group programmes, and aftercare initiatives tailored to the needs of the client group.
  • Establish connections with statutory, community, and voluntary agencies to enhance service provision and support networks.
  • Identify gaps in service delivery and develop effective responses in conjunction with relevant agencies.
  • Foster relationships with alcohol users, their families, and the wider community through community development and networking activities.
  • Support trainee and volunteer staff in their roles, as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of and adhere to all operational policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Evidence of experience in addiction treatment and support services, preferably in a clinical or therapeutic setting.
  • Ability to provide expert guidance and support to clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and partnership building.
  • Capacity to adapt to changing circumstances, priorities, and demands within the role.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to promoting recovery-oriented practice and empowerment.
