Role Summary

Frontline seeks an Addiction Practitioner to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering case management and treatment support services to individuals struggling with problematic alcohol use in the North Dublin City and County area.

  • Deliver evidence-based interventions, including key working and case management, to clients with complex needs.
  • Manage a caseload of clients with problematic/dependent alcohol use, developing and implementing client-centred care plans.
  • Support clients in addressing personal issues related to their addiction and mental health, such as housing, welfare rights, medical treatment, and referrals.
  • Engage in targeted outreach work, prioritizing the identification and engagement of relevant clients across the CHO 9 area.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Provide high-quality case management and treatment support services to clients.
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based workshops, group programmes, and aftercare services based on client need.
  • Establish and maintain links with statutory, community, and voluntary agencies to enhance service delivery.
  • Identify gaps in service provision and develop appropriate responses in conjunction with relevant agencies.
  • Contribute to community development and networking initiatives within the wider CHO 9 area.
RequirementsEssential Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A diploma or degree in addiction studies or a relevant qualification.
  • Post-qualification experience in addiction and social inclusion.
  • Knowledge and understanding of reducing alcohol-related harm principles.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and receiving/giving support.
  • Ability to act upon one's own initiative while maintaining professional boundaries.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working in group settings.
  • Knowledge and experience of client management systems.
  • Good report writing and proficient IT skills.
