We are seeking an accomplished professional to spearhead the advancement of large-scale biogas projects in Ireland and the UK.

Key Role: Development Director

This is a senior position, responsible for guiding the development of biogas projects from inception through to completion. The successful candidate will navigate strategic planning processes, working closely with internal teams, external consultants, regulators, and stakeholders to drive project delivery.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with local authorities, regulatory bodies, landowners, and community stakeholders to secure project approvals.
  • Manage technical studies, including EIARs and ecological assessments, to inform project decisions.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a degree in Planning, Environmental Science, or a related field, accompanied by 8-10 years of experience in project management of large-scale developments, preferably in renewable energy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in Planning, Environmental Science, or a related discipline (postgraduate qualification desirable).
  • 8-10 years' experience in project management of large-scale developments, ideally in renewable energy.
  • Proven expertise in EIARs, AA, planning applications, and environmental permitting.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, codes, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
