Renewable Energy Project Lead

This is a key role in the development of solar farm projects and other forms of renewable technologies across Ireland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of project development, including origination, landowner negotiations, design, resource assessment, environmental and planning work, stakeholder management and project budgeting.
- Manage all planning studies, including visuals and EIA, and lead consultants in their delivery.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, including landowners, politicians, planners, third-party consultants and specialists, utilities, local authorities and other public bodies.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Environmental Science, Project Management or similar, along with 5+ years of experience in the renewables industry and thorough knowledge of technical and development work for renewable projects.
They will also need to demonstrate experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously, utilising large numbers of resources including consultants and contractors, as well as holding a full EU driving licence and having experience and/or understanding of the planning process in ROI.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Origination: Identify and pursue new business opportunities for renewable energy projects.
- Landowner Negotiations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with landowners to secure project sites.
- Design and Resource Assessment: Lead the design and resource assessment teams to ensure optimal project performance.
- Environmental and Planning Work: Manage environmental and planning permits to enable project progression.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community groups, and industry partners.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills, with a strong ability to build relationships and drive results.
