Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing all electrical engineering matters for large-scale renewable projects.

The engineer will support the grid and electrical team in development, tendering, construction, commissioning, and handover of projects involving wind, solar, and battery storage. This includes working with contractors, OEMs, consultants, and utility companies across various voltage levels.

Key responsibilities include supporting asset development teams, performing electrical design reviews, reviewing employer requirements, ensuring technical assessments are completed on time, and monitoring project progress.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in substation design, contestable grid connections, and renewable project delivery. A qualification in electrical engineering and full driving license are also essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical engineering.

About YouKey Criteria – What You'll Need
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in the design and construction of HV/MV substations.
  • Experience in utility grid contestable design & delivery.
  • Experience in the delivery of HV/MV electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Full Driving Licence.
Desirable Criteria
  • Electrical trade/electrical contractor background.
  • Proven experience in design and construction of renewable project electrical works packages.
  • Experience with utility-scale renewable generation projects.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
