New Business Underwriter Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled New Business Underwriter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of industry experience and hold or be working towards relevant professional qualifications such as CIP, MDI, or ACII.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite and analyze new business submissions in accordance with our risk appetite and within delegated authority levels.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with broker partners while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Manage and prioritize the new business pipeline and work queues to ensure agreed SLAs are met.
  • Maintain engagement with Sales and Distribution, Risk Engineering, and broker partners to drive new business opportunities.
  • Build relationships to support customer acquisition and retention.
  • Implement technical standards, controls, and procedures to maintain underwriting discipline.
  • Contribute to the development of new or enhanced propositions based on insights.
  • Ensure adherence to Central Bank compliance standards and Quality Assurance in all aspects of underwriting.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Holds or is working towards relevant professional qualifications.
  • Excellent technical insurance knowledge, including Commercial Insurance.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Zurich products and policy wordings.
