Job Title

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Respite Team Leader.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing high-quality support services to individuals with disabilities and their families.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of our person-centred service, ensuring that clients receive the best possible care and support.
  • They will also be responsible for developing and maintaining support/care plans, providing required support and care to clients on an individual basis, and ensuring that HIQA standards and regulations are maintained within the respite service.
  • Additionally, the Respite Team Leader will be responsible for supervising staff, maintaining staff rotas, training, leadership, supervision, support/care plans, and communication across various staff shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • To manage the day-to-day delivery of a truly person-centred service for all clients.
  • To liaise with families, multidisciplinary teams and other personnel to ensure the best quality of service with the clients as directed by community services manager.
  • To document information and complete paperwork as deemed necessary for delivery of service to the clients.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, logistical and IT skills.
  • Manage and provide support to staff team within the respite service maintaining staff rotas, training, leadership, supervision, support/care plans and communication across various staff shifts.
  • Adhere to and ensure the required standards in line with HIQA regulations and reporting to HIQA is maintained.
  • Maintain a high delivery of service in line with Health and Safety standards and regulations.
  • Liaise with families, and other personnel as directed by the Respite Manager.

Additional Requirements:

  • Hold a full, clean driving license.
  • Be flexible in terms of working hours and days.
  • Travel to various areas within Ireland to participate in RehabCares training programme.
