Job Title: Policy Manager, Mental Health

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Policy Manager to join our global Trust & Safety organization.

This pivotal role will involve developing and driving policies regarding mental health on TikTok. You will work closely with Product Safety teams to ensure features are evaluated for potential risks to mental health and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop platform-wide policies and product guidance that reflect our values and user well-being goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve policy framework and ensure effective responses to urgent safety incidents.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on crisis response and escalation handling, ensuring policies are aligned across stakeholders.
  • Engage with Legal and Public Policy teams to ensure compliance with key regulations.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Academia, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and executive communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex topics into concise and digestible materials.
  • Knowledge of key mental health topics such as disordered eating, self-harm, suicide, emotionally vulnerable content, body image, and appearance ideals.
  • Experience with international technology/online content/social media issues.
