Financial Operations Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Leader to lead financial activities within site operations.

This position will be responsible for leading annual strategy and operating plans, quarterly reports, and special requests, providing commentary and explanation where required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as a business partner to Plant Manager, staff, and plant personnel, providing operational and strategic guidance as required.
  • Providing financial analysis capability for the organization, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of actuals and forecasts as well as special studies and major investment evaluation.
  • Leading Operations teams to drive better business results and operating efficiencies.
  • Mentoring, coaching, teaching, developing, and assisting financial site staff and Operations teams.
  • Driving improvements in financial processes using Lean Six Sigma tools, including the appropriate use of automation, improvements in quality and consistency of data and analysis, and elimination of non-value added work.
  • Serving as a key communication source for the business, addressing all questions and information requests coming from all levels of the organization.
  • Ensuring overall site responsibility for maintaining control environment in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and company policy.
  • Providing analysis, costing, and business analysis of new product development projects.
  • Ensuring production of timely, accurate, and relevant financial reports to facilitate understanding and analysis of business and business opportunities.
  • Ensuring accounting practices are in compliance with all relevant accounting standards, state and federal regulations, and company values and practices.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business, with a minimum of 10+ years of financial experience in increasing roles of responsibility as Accounting or Finance Manager, Controller, and/or senior level leadership role. Professional certification (CPA/CMA) and/or MBA is a plus. Manufacturing and costing experience is required. Demonstrated strong analytical skills, strong business acumen, and business partnering skills are essential. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred.
