This challenging role requires a seasoned Database professional to provide technical expertise for the support of the Oracle Database estate and Exadata Engineered Systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Escalate complex incidents from within the Database team, taking ownership and delivering resolution.
  • Analyze performance and apply tuning techniques, as well as provide Application Development support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage ongoing patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities, including Oracle security initiatives and Backup and Recovery management.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Oracle 19c, Oracle 23AI, RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, RA, and Exadata.

The broader Database team supports other technologies MS SQL Server, Db2 zOS, Db2 LUW, and IMS.

Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 10 years' experience in Database Engineering.
  • Deep knowledge of Oracle 19c, Oracle 23AI, Exadata, RAC, Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, and Recovery Appliance.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and a willingness to train/coach colleagues.
