Structural Drafting Specialist Job Description

The Role:

  • Accurately produce detailed drawings of structural components using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Support engineers on a variety of projects, including buildings, bridges, and infrastructure developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings for structural components, adhering to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with structural engineers to develop and modify designs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Verify that all drawings meet the required quality standards and are properly documented.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated project documentation, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate drawing records and project documentation, supporting knowledge management and future project development.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma or certification in CAD or Engineering Design, demonstrating proficiency in relevant software.
  • At least 2 years of experience in structural drafting, showcasing expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong knowledge of structural systems, construction materials, and industry-standard practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication abilities, enabling seamless collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
