Senior Health and Safety Specialist

This role entails providing strategic oversight to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Health and Safety Officer, responsible for implementing and maintaining robust health and safety protocols within our production facility in Co. Mayo.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular site risk assessments and identify areas for improvement;
- Deliver comprehensive health and safety training programs for new employees;
- Perform internal audits to guarantee compliance with industry standards;
- Collaborate with departmental heads to develop and implement innovative health and safety processes;
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of all health and safety-related procedures;
- A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a similar role would be beneficial;
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders;
- A focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques;
- Excellent follow-up and control skills across all aspects of the role;
- Minimum Level 6 QQI qualification in Health and Safety Required;
- Comprehensive knowledge and adherence to relevant H&S legislation.
- Manual Handling Instructor and/or Forklift Instructor training would be advantageous;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
