Trustee Governance Role

We are seeking an experienced charity Trustee to join our board and contribute to the development of our Governance plan and strategies. As a member of our Governance and Nomination Committee, you will ensure the organisation is suitably governed and supported.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A current or former professional with significant governance experience, particularly from the not-for-profit sector.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the charity and not-for-profit landscape in Ireland.
  • Commitment to the highest level of corporate governance.
  • Alignment with our values.
  • Have the time and commitment to fulfill the role.
  • Previous experience as a Trustee or Company Director.

You will work closely with other board members to:

  • Oversee the yearly Charities Governance Code Compliance Report and monitor its implementation.
  • Develop relevant governance documentation for consideration by the Board.
  • Advise the Board and Management Team on governance issues.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of our governance structures, processes, and policies.
  • Oversee and evaluate Board performance.
