Purchasing and Stock Control Specialist
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Purchasing and Stock Control Specialist to support our client's purchasing and stock control functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and terms, and reporting regularly to management on purchasing activities and stock performance.
Responsibilities- Manage supplier relationships to ensure efficient procurement of goods and services
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve best value
- Monitor stock levels and process stock orders in a timely manner
- Sources new products to meet business needs
- Ensure accurate and efficient stock control at all times
- Previous experience in a purchasing or similar role is highly advantageous
- Strong stock control skills with a keen eye for accuracy and efficiency
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships
- Confident in negotiating with suppliers to achieve best value
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
- Product knowledge of hardware and building supplies is advantageous
