Financial Accountant Position

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to fill a key role. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, banking, working capital management, audit, tax compliance, and reviewing existing processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the CFO in preparing monthly management accounts and issuing them to senior management by deadline
  • Analysis of key trends and KPIs within the business
  • Preparation of annual financial statements and supporting documentation required for Audit
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Financial reports and analysis on specific areas requiring attention
  • Weekly Accounts Payable payment cycle
  • Oversight of Accounts Receivable and ensuring timely collection of amounts owing
  • WC/cashflow management on a daily basis through effective reporting systems and active participation in the business
  • Review of bank/credit card reconciliations prepared by financial administrator
  • Year-end Audit and Audit Liaison Preparation and Overview of Tax Returns and Compliance (VAT and PAYE)

The ideal candidate will have up to 2+ years post-qualified experience as a Financial Accountant, preferably in a Software as a Service environment. Strong IT skills, ERP, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and experience with Business Central ERP system and Power BI are desirable. Self-motivated, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and experience of working in an accounting function with challenging month-end reporting deadlines are essential.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant with post-qualified experience
  • Experience in preparing month-end management accounts
  • Strong IT skills (ERP, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Desirable: Experience in Business Central ERP system and Power BI
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-focussed, high energy, and a team player
