Job Title: Financial Analyst

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented financial analyst to join our dynamic finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial activities, maintaining accurate and timely records.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage day-to-day financial activities, including financial reporting, account reconciliations, and cash management.

  2. Support a portfolio of clients with their accounting needs, ensuring smooth financial operations and compliance.

  3. Prepare accurate and timely year-end financial statements and reports for senior review, including Corporation Tax returns in line with current legislation.

  4. Reconcile key accounts, including VAT, payroll, leases, hire purchases, and fixed assets registers.

  5. Record and maintain financial transactions in accounting software with precision and consistency.

  6. Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts and performance reports.

  7. Ensure all financial documentation meets compliance standards and internal deadlines.

  8. Support the year-end closing process, including reconciliations and final journal entries.

  9. Collaborate with managers and senior accountants on ad hoc financial projects and reporting tasks.

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified accountant working towards ACA or ACCA designation.

  • Minimum of two years' experience working in a professional accounting practice.

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-focused approach.

  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities efficiently.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Office applications; experience with accounting software is advantageous.

  • Able to work independently, use initiative, and demonstrate a proactive attitude to learning and responsibility.
