Job Role Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide on-site support services for the transportation and disposal of hazardous clinical and chemical waste.

  • Key duties include preparation, packing, and transportation of waste materials from customer sites to a designated facility.
  • Awareness and adherence to all relevant safety protocols and guidelines at customer locations are essential.
  • Ensuring that all received waste containers meet established standards, including UN approval and cleanliness, is crucial.
  • Verifying the accuracy of paperwork, consignment notes, and route sheets is necessary to guarantee compliance with regulations.
  • Accurate management of assigned stock and usage tracking are vital components of this role.
  • Availability for overnight stays at customer sites may be required.
  • Health and safety concerns must be reported promptly to management or supervisors.
  • Maintenance of the highest quality standards is mandatory.
  • Regular vehicle checks to ensure safety equipment and good working order are also required.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driving license, ADR Training, Chemical Awareness Training, Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Forklift training, and HazChem Training in the transport of dangerous goods are necessary qualifications.
  • Physically fit and able to perform tasks requiring strength and stamina.
  • Safe Pass certification is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer software and systems.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Previous experience operating a Forklift truck is desirable.
