Job Opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to join our team in Dublin. As a Staff Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the platform strategy and driving innovation within our organization.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
  1. Shaping the platform strategy in alignment with company goals and product objectives.
  2. Evolving the API platform to power customer-facing functionality across Atlas, ensuring seamless integration with internal development teams.
  3. Collaborating deeply with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform meets broad engineering needs.
  4. Enabling the downstream development of declarative tools by aligning the API platform with their workflows and state management paradigms.
  5. Actively mentoring and leading the team to maintain high standards of engineering excellence and decision-making.
  6. Fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment according to our core values.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  1. Proven expertise building production API platforms at scale for internal platform teams and/or enterprise-facing products.
  2. Strong background in API lifecycle management, OpenAPI/Swagger or similar.
  3. A track record of delivering backwards-compatible APIs and building systems that reduce the risk of breaking changes.
  4. Strong communication skills, with experience writing technical documents, mentoring teammates, and presenting to leadership.
  5. An approachable, curious, and intellectually honest mindset.
