We are seeking a skilled External Communications Officer to join our dynamic global team. This is a key role that involves managing media enquiries, developing press releases and statements, and liaising with external PR agencies.

About the Job

As an External Communications Officer, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our reputation and promoting our brand globally. You will be responsible for monitoring media coverage, drafting key messages and Q&A documents, and providing briefing notes for spokespeople.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Manage media enquiries and respond promptly to all requests for information.
  • Develop story angles and spotting proactive media opportunities for our brand, and create engaging press releases and media materials.
  • Draft key messages and Q&A documents, and develop briefing notes for spokespeople.
  • Monitor media coverage daily, flagging key articles and issues with the team and wider business when required.
Requirements
  • 4-5 years' experience in Consumer and/or Corporate Communications team in a Communications/PR Agency or In-house Communications/PR Department.
  • Excellent communications skills, including strong writing capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of design platforms like Canva and well-versed in social media tools and other related programmes including media monitoring and brand/reputation tracking.
  • Ability to manage and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
