Job Title: Home Care Worker

This is an opportunity to work with people with dementia, bringing care and support directly into their homes.

We are looking for a dedicated individual to provide person-centred care, addressing the needs of our clients to enhance their quality of life.

About the Role:

The primary focus of this role is to deliver tailored care and support to individuals with dementia. This includes building trusting relationships with clients and their carers, providing personal care when needed, and ensuring that observations are reported in a timely manner.

You will also be responsible for assisting clients and their carers in dealings with other service providers in the community, promoting a positive and safe environment, and contributing to the ongoing development and enhancement of our service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver person-centred care and support to individuals with dementia
  • Build trusting relationships with clients and their carers
  • Provide personal care when needed
  • Assist clients and their carers in dealings with other service providers in the community
  • Promote a positive and safe environment
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of our service
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting people with dementia, older adults, or individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Full clean driving licence and access to a car
  • QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational and observational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Training in dementia, care of elderly or related area
