Strategic Compliance Lead
A leadership opportunity has arisen for an experienced compliance professional to shape and drive quality, safety, and environmental responsibility across the organisation. You will oversee management systems, manage regulatory approvals, and ensure readiness for audits while fostering a culture of improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Health & Safety Management: Manage and improve health and safety practices, ensuring compliance with legislation and risk assessments.
- Environmental Sustainability: Oversee certification, assess environmental risks, and implement sustainability strategies aligned with regulations and company goals.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain and develop quality management systems, manage audits, and ensure document control.
- Product Regulatory Approvals: Coordinate global product approvals, liaising with test labs, notified bodies, and regulatory authorities.
- Leadership and Governance: Develop compliance frameworks, engage with auditors, and report on compliance risks and performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering, Quality, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in compliance, quality, or regulatory affairs.
- Proven track record managing ISO certification programmes.
- Knowledge of product safety standards is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with EU, UK, and global regulatory frameworks.
- Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
- Excellent organisational and project management capabilities.
