Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Materials Program Leader to lead and develop our USM (Used Service Material) team, ensuring delivery of high-quality service and achievement of business objectives.

  • Lead, support, and motivate the USM materials team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
  • Monitor performance, provide feedback, and conduct regular reviews.
  • Report program performance to the Commercial Manager.
  • Manage purchasing, sales, and stock of materials effectively.
  • Identify and support new product opportunities and revenue streams.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance material programs and drive growth.
  • Maintain strong communication with stakeholders (Quality, Finance, Operations) and global teams (Sales & Fulfilment).
  • Stay up to date on industry trends to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Roll out materials program strategies to optimise growth and business performance.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A third-level qualification in Business, Management, or related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of the MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) sector.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a material trading role.
  • An entrepreneurial outlook with a proactive approach to growth.
  • Flexibility to travel and attend trade shows.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle escalations with professionalism and tact.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical ability, with experience using data to drive improvements and revenue.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
