
Senior Disability Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Disability team in Limerick.
The successful candidate will work with adults with intellectual disabilities and complex needs, including physical, sensory, and learning disabilities.
You will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals and will have regular training, supervision, and career development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, planning, intervention, and review of occupational therapy programmes tailored to adults with intellectual disabilities.
- Deliver needs-based, outcome-focused care guided by the Individual Support Plan (ISP).
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure coordinated care and goal setting.
- Maintain professional standards in assessment, documentation, reporting, and service delivery.
- Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in practice and the workplace.
Essential Requirements:
- BSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
- CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, at least 1 year working with adults with intellectual disabilities.
- Proven track record of working with adults with intellectual and physical disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and complex needs.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload while ensuring high standards of assessment, intervention, and documentation.
