Safety Excellence Manager

The HSE Manager is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and environmental performance across power infrastructure projects.
Reporting directly to the Head of HSE for Energy and Industry, you will lead a team of advisors and be accountable for developing and implementing effective HSE strategies that meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
As an experienced professional with a strong track record in highly regulated environments, you will possess excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills. A degree in Health & Safety and minimum 5 years relevant experience on Power Infrastructure Projects are essential.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement HSE strategies across power-related projects, ensuring compliance with Irish legislation, client rules/codes of practice and industry standards.
- Lead investigations into incidents, near-misses and non-conformances, ensuring root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate HSE records, reports and KPIs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, standards and industry best practices, advising senior management accordingly.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders to ensure full compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
- Degree in Health & Safety
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience on Power Infrastructure Projects (transmission, distribution including substations)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with one or more teams
- Good written and spoken communication abilities
- Good IT skills with a high attention to detail
- Flexible and proactive approach
- Demonstrate leadership skills
- Proven track record in highly regulated environments
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
- Full clean driving licence; willingness to travel to sites across Ireland
