
Capital Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our team as a Procurement Specialist – Capital Equipment.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end procurement process for capital equipment, including supplier identification, tendering, negotiation, and contracting. You will drive cost optimization strategies while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
As a key member of our procurement team, you will manage relationships with selected suppliers, acting as the primary interface between them and internal functions. You will oversee supplier pricing and cost structures to optimize capital budgets.
Your expertise will help develop and maintain effective relationships with key suppliers and user departments to enhance the supply chain and reduce lead times and inventory liabilities. You will identify potential risks to supply continuity early and provide effective solutions to mitigate them.
You will collaborate effectively as a team member, especially in our company's initiatives. You will ensure compliance with our quality systems, good manufacturing practices, corporate regulations, and EHS standards.
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong understanding of equipment build processes and capital project management. You should have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight timelines while being flexible to adapt to changing priorities.
Requirements- NFQ Level 8 qualification in Business, Supply Chain, or related Engineering/Science discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in procurement, with a strong focus on capital equipment within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in injection molding tooling and/or metal stamping equipment procurement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze complex issues effectively and make informed decisions.
