Paediatric Haematology Specialist Nurse

Job Summary:
The role of a Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner (RANP) in Children's Malignant Haematology is to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to become a RANP.
This involves undertaking academic preparation, developing clinical and leadership skills, competencies, and knowledge required to meet the criteria for RANP registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Develop job documentation under the direction of the Health Care Provider's Advanced Practice Stakeholder Governance Group.
- Undertake academic preparation and develop clinical and leadership skills, competencies, and knowledge required for RANP registration.
- Meet the NMBI criteria for RANP registration as set out in Advanced Practice (Nursing) Standards and Requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be a registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnimhseachais na hireann) or entitled to be so registered.
- Have a broad base of clinical experience relevant to Paediatric Haematology with a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience in an acute paediatric haematolgy oncology setting within the last 5 years.
- Be eligible to undertake a Master's Degree (or higher) in Nursing or a Master's Degree relevant to the advanced field of practice.
