Category Manager Opportunity

The role of Category Manager is a key position within our organization, responsible for leading category activities and developing effective procurement strategies.

This includes contributing to the development of our procurement function's service and collaborating with various stakeholders across multiple skillsets.

About You
  • You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic category management, creating and implementing go-to market and sourcing strategies, and identifying and assessing supplier risk.
  • Key responsibilities include leading a multi-year cost efficiency programme, negotiating high-value contracts, and promoting the use of digital tools and analytics.
  • Additionally, you will develop strategic supplier relationships and ensure benefits tracking is done accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • 7+ years related experience in a Category Manager role, preferably with related procurement category expertise.
  • Proven track record of managing complex sourcing activities and demonstrating the use of different sourcing approaches.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and delivering multi-year strategies ensuring competitive commercial advantage.
  • Expert knowledge of financial and legal contract negotiations, ethical sourcing, and corporate social responsibility issues.
  • Ability to forge close business relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all management levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
