
Communication Specialist

As a key player in our fast-paced communications team, you will provide administrative support to ensure seamless execution of business priorities and tasks across the team.
Key Responsibilities:- Support general administrative, planning, and coordinating tasks, including managing calendars, raising purchase orders, managing budgets, planning meetings, and agendas, and supporting presentations.
- Assist with day-to-day press office duties, including monitoring media queries, developing first drafts of press materials, such as press releases and media statements, for various projects and topics.
- Ensure all media statements issued are recorded appropriately in our global press office tracker, logging all queries and sharing final press materials with the wider external comms team.
- Monitor media, industry, and competitor coverage daily, flagging key articles and issues with the External Communications team, spotting media proactive opportunities, and compiling a first draft of the weekly Corporate Affairs newsletter.
- Act as a key point of contact and work closely with Comms teams in markets and PR agencies across markets to coordinate updates, issue, and receive materials for global campaign launches or company announcements.
- Coordinate and update key messaging documents for external and internal stakeholders.
- Support Communications teams with new store opening programmes, working closely with in-market PR agencies and Communications teams to support execution of plans.
- Support Communications teams to implement various global campaigns.
- Support issues management, including keeping crisis management documents up-to-date, working with Customer Service/Social Media teams to escalate and respond to issues and customer complaints, and track potential brand-damaging issues.
- A strong interest in communications, media relations, and writing is essential.
- 1-2 years' experience in a fast-paced role, ideally in Communications/PR agency or an in-house PR/Communications role, but not essential.
- Strong administrative and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and operate in a reactive environment.
- Excellent creativity and communications skills, including strong writing capabilities, and acute attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to work on a team are really important in this role.
- This candidate should be proactive, diplomatic, and trustworthy with a flexible approach to work.
- Highly organized with an ability to handle a high volume of work and prioritize accordingly.
- Advanced IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, are essential. Ability to use Canva an advantage.
- Additional language(s) an advantage.
