Production Operations Specialist

In this role, you will provide technical knowledge to resolve production issues and implement changes in a medical device manufacturing facility. This will include providing leadership on cleaning, sealing, and packaging medical devices and working with the team to meet efficiency targets and improve reliability.
The key areas of responsibility are:
- Ensuring quality of process and product as defined in specifications.
- Ensuring good manufacturing practices and system safety.
- SUPPORTING capital acquisition activity from specifying equipment, contract negotiation, installation, and validation.
- Providing training for manufacturing team members.
- Interface with materials science, design, and quality assurance departments to provide customers with a quality product in a timely manner.
- Validation, appraisal, and support of machining suppliers and raw material suppliers.
- Communicate and participate in system and process troubleshooting with support team members and external agents.
- Lead cross-functional and cross-divisional process improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Level 8 degree in engineering, science, or related discipline.
- 0-2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Business understanding of operations and manufacturing principles.
- High level of PC skills required.
- Flexibility essential.
- Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-starter with efficient work methods, analytical, and problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of FDA requirements.
- Knowledge of six sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
