Job OverviewThe Team Lead will be responsible for driving continuous improvement and lean principles within their area.
They will maintain high visibility with production staff, use a hands-on approach to communicate daily and involve staff in problem-solving.

- Develop a high-performance team with high levels of worker morale, satisfaction, and performance.
- Create and maintain a respectful work environment by listening, seeking facts to support decisions, managing reactions, and addressing unacceptable behaviour.
- Help staff succeed through performance management. Provide coaching and communication to support development.
- Review general production schedules to identify and resolve problems.
- Ensure desired product quality levels are achieved through standard work and training to those standards, operation and inspection techniques, and tools/data.
- Provide training and coaching to improve standard work, work center organization, and housekeeping. Actively provide leadership as required.
- Support an environment of continuous improvement by encouraging staff to challenge existing processes and implement solutions that enhance effectiveness.
- Support staff in understanding policies and practices.
- Maintain time and production records.
- Take notice of process-related problems and support staff in taking corrective action to improve overall performance.
- Communicate with and listen to staff on a daily basis regarding performance, strategic initiatives, policy changes, safety, quality, etc.
- Communicate with other leaders and personnel regarding equipment, safety, work schedules, company policies and practices, performance improvement plans, etc.
- Hire and retain diverse, highly qualified staff and provide ongoing feedback. Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
- Promote a quality culture within the area.
- Comply with company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintain positive communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
This role requires strong multitasking ability, excellent communication skills, and a minimum Level 7 NFQ qualification.
