The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective health and safety management systems that meet or exceed legal and corporate compliance requirements.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety management systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes and policies
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and deliver targeted safety-related training programs, empowering staff with the necessary skills and knowledge
- Conduct regular internal health and safety inspections and audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed
- Facilitate external audits and inspections, ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement
- Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, providing actionable insights and recommendations for process improvements
- Monitor health and safety performance metrics, driving data-driven decision-making and proactive risk mitigation strategies
- Identify and deliver specialized training to management and personnel, bridging knowledge gaps and enhancing overall organizational performance
Requirements:
- Postgraduate diploma in occupational safety, health, and welfare or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a health and safety-focused environment, preferably within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector
- In-depth knowledge of ISO standards, particularly ISO 45001:2018, with proficiency in related auditing and certification processes
- Training, delivery, and evaluation skills advantageous; experience working within a dynamic, results-driven organization desirable
