Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Professional to join our team as a Health & Safety Officer. This is a permanent position within the company.

About the Role
  • This role will involve reporting on subcontractors' and project teams' safety performance and making suggestions to management as necessary.
  • The successful candidate will deliver toolbox talks and site orientations, assist with the collection of health and safety documentation, and ensure everyone on staff is aware of their obligations.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification in a related field (e.g., occupational health and safety).
  • At least one year's experience in health and safety.
  • Main contractor experience is preferred but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver regular toolbox talks and site orientations to promote a safe working environment.
  2. Assist with the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
  3. Conduct regular safety inspections and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Develop and maintain a comprehensive health and safety database.
  5. Provide guidance and support to employees on health and safety matters.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in occupational health and safety or a related field.
  • Minimum 1+ years' experience in health and safety.
  • Main contractor experience is desirable but not essential.
