Job Opportunity:

The Environmental Services Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of patient rooms, offices, and other areas within the healthcare facility. This position is responsible for executing standardized cleaning procedures to maintain efficient patient care and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform timely cleaning of patient rooms and support departments, including discharge cleaning, cycle cleaning, office cleaning, and ancillary area cleaning to ensure optimal patient satisfaction and operations.
  2. Project Work: Complete assigned project work such as wall washing, trash removal, biohazardous linens, and sharps container removal. Assist with hospital emergency cleanup initiatives.
  3. Patient Experience: Participate actively in Patient Satisfaction initiatives to meet departmental goals.
  4. Safety and Compliance: Follow all hospital safety standards regarding chemicals, equipment, machinery, and hazardous area markings. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and regulatory standards.
  5. Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned or required by management.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • FIT testing may be required, provided upon hire if necessary.
    • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
    • Basic reading, writing, and effective communication skills.
    • Ability to operate power equipment safely.
