Job Overview:

Occupational Therapist Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to patients.

The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical reasoning and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' abilities and limitations in activities of daily living (ADLs), and develop and implement evidence-based interventions to support recovery, optimize independence, and facilitate discharge.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and safe discharge, including home environment assessments and recommendations for adaptive equipment.
  • Patient Education and Advocacy: Educate patients, families, and carers on strategies for managing functional limitations and advocate for patient-centered care throughout the admission.

Requirements:
  • Staff Grade OT: BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy (CORU registered), minimum 1 year of acute hospital experience, strong clinical reasoning and communication skills.
  • Senior OT: BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy (CORU registered), minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and advanced clinical skills.

Benefits and Remuneration:
  • Competitive Salary: Up to €72,800 per annum DOE for Staff Grade OTs, and up to €85,540 per annum DOE for Senior OTs.
