Racing Grounds Staff Job Opportunity

Our racecourse in Ireland is seeking casual staff to support the grounds team. The role will involve assisting with raceday preparations, ground maintenance, and repair work. You will be part of a dedicated team working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the racing surface and associated areas to ensure a safe racing experience
  • Perform ground repairs including divot replacement and filling holes with soil/sand mixtures
  • Assist in presenting jumps, rails, stables, and other grounds features
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by management
Personal Qualities and Experience

A strong can-do attitude and ability to work reliably are essential. Basic horse handling skills or an interest in agronomy are advantageous but not required as training will be provided.

This is a casual employment opportunity with flexible working hours. You may be required to work weekends and evenings due to the 7-day nature of the racing business.
