Environmental Health and Quality Management Professional

The role of Environmental Health and Quality Management Professional is crucial in maintaining high standards of safety, health, environmental management systems, and quality.

This position requires delivering all aspects of environmental health and quality management systems, including regular site inspections and audits, investigating incidents, preparing statistics, advising staff on health and safety procedures, sourcing training, and promoting a health and safety culture across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake site visits to monitor and report on compliance with SHEQ systems.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences, reporting accordingly.
  • Prepare and present relevant statistics and reports.
  • Advise and assist staff on all aspects of SHEQ management systems and procedures.
  • Source, plan, and deliver training on recognised standards.
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture across all levels of the company and subcontractors.
  • Support the preparation of Health and Safety Plans and RAMS for contract sites.
  • Contribute to tender pre-qualification questionnaires and quality submissions.
  • Assess competence of subcontractors.
  • Attend and contribute to health and safety meetings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a construction health and safety/environmental & quality related role.
  • NEBOSH qualified.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 and COSHH assessments.
  • Strong IT skills and confident in delivering presentations and training sessions.
  • Knowledge of health and safety, environmental, energy, and quality management systems.
  • Team player with excellent prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Flexible and deadline-driven.
