Job Opportunity: Product Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Proposition Management team as a Product Compliance Specialist.

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and the ability to develop and implement effective compliance strategies.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring that required protocols are adopted by wider areas of the business and fulfilling any internal and external reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and interpret relevant regulations and standards to ensure company products comply with expected governance and compliance requirements.
  • Policy Development: Develop and implement product compliance policies and procedures to guide product lifecycle management.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular product compliance risk assessments and audits of product lines to identify potential areas of vulnerability and implement corrective actions.
  • Product Compliance Returns: Oversee and co-ordinate responses to internal and external requests for reports on key controls and evidence-based testing in accordance with deadlines.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of product compliance activities, including reports, audits, and regulatory submissions.
  • Training & Education: Develop and deliver product compliance training programs to educate colleagues on relevant product compliance requirements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the compliance, legal, and risk teams to ensure strong collaboration and engagement across these key functions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes to continuously improve the company's product compliance strategies.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A third level business degree or appropriate professional qualification is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience within a Financial Services organization and 3 of those years in a compliance-related role, preferably with experience in working within the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requirements.
  • Experience in the Health or General insurance sectors would be of particular advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across departments and communicate to a senior audience.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The ability to work effectively, both independently and within a team environment is crucial.
