Job Summary

This exciting opportunity seeks to appoint a Support Worker to join our disability services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing person-centred support to individuals with complex needs, enabling them to live fulfilling lives.


Key Responsibilities

The role involves:

  • Providing daily living support to individuals in their own homes or community settings;
  • Assisting with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing and toileting;
  • Preparing meals and snacks;
  • Supporting individuals with medication management;
  • Encouraging independence and participation in activities of daily living;
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports as required;
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support is provided.


Requirements

To be considered for this rewarding role, applicants must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A full QQI level 5 Health Care Qualification;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritize tasks effectively;
  • Awareness of Key Worker/ Support Worker role and philosophy surrounding support to people with complex needs;
  • Fluent English and excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Full, clean driver's licence (manual) desirable;
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing service requirements.
