Programmes and Projects Leader
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a leader in our programmes and projects, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and leading the execution of tasks and duties necessary for the successful implementation of these initiatives. This includes close liaison with colleagues, volunteers, members, and their families to establish strong relationships.
- Develop and lead the implementation of resource and outreach programmes as set by the Service Coordinator and Service Support Officer in line with the Operational Manual.
- Support the development of youth services in the area, facilitating opportunities for members to access community facilities and engage in community activities.
- Ensure the preparation and maintenance of records as required by the Operational Manual, Service Coordinator, and Service Support Officer.
The role involves mentoring and supporting staff in all aspects of programme delivery, accompanying participants on annual holidays, outings, social, and day trips as required, and engaging with a change management process in line with HSE New Direction standards as directed by the Service Coordinator.
Ensure that health and safety standards are fully adhered to in all centre activities and in the centre itself, recording and reporting any hazards or accidents to the Service Coordinator.
Patient moving and handling; assist with personal care of service users where required, promoting independence through your work and interactions with others.
Undertake training as directed by the Service Coordinator, ensuring responsibilities to safeguard children and adults from abuse or harm are core aspects of this role.
Flexibility and availability for out-of-hours service activities are also required, including evenings and weekends, along with support for the fundraising function within the organisation.
Carry out other duties and/or responsibilities assigned by the Service Coordinator from time to time.
Person SpecificationQualifications, Experience, and SkillsQQI level 5 (Major Award) in Health Care Support or similar is desirable, with relevant experience working within the intellectual disability area an advantage.
Strong computer and administration skills are essential, along with previous experience of networking, facilitation, development, and delivery of projects or programmes.

A full category B driving licence is desirable.
