A Support Specialist

A Support Specialist is required to work with children and families.
- A Support Specialist will provide support to children to enable them to participate in the community, achieve person-centred goals and facilitate inclusion.
This role involves providing practical, personal and social support to individuals. Afternoon hours Monday to Friday, afterschool / school holidays on a return of hours basis as required.
- Provide support to children to enable them to participate in the community, achieve person-centred goals and facilitate inclusion.
- Support individuals to access community resources and services.
- Support children to access community resources and services.
- Provide individualised support to children to meet their specific needs.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to supporting children.
- QQI Level 5 major award in childcare or equivalent.
- Experience working with children/teens.
- Experience of working with children with disabilities.
- Good written, presentation and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of working with children in community/non-centred based settings as Lone Worker and as part of a team.
- Access to transport and full clean driving licence.
