Seeking an experienced Music Therapist to provide parental leave cover for our Music Therapy Clinic.

Job Description:
  • Manage all aspects of the Music Therapy Clinic, including referrals, scheduling, administration, and service coordination.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Music Therapy, professional registration with IACAT, and demonstrable clinical experience in healthcare, educational, or community settings. They will also possess high-level organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct client assessments and develop individualised treatment plans.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions using appropriate clinical and musical approaches.
  • Maintain accurate records, evaluate outcomes, and adjust interventions as necessary.
  • Liaise and collaborate with colleagues, educators, healthcare professionals, and caregivers.
  • Plan and deliver workshops for staff, students, and external partners as required.
  • Undertake outreach work in day facilities or other community settings when appropriate.
  • Adhere to professional and ethical standards, including confidentiality and safeguarding policies.
  • Engage in continuing professional development and supervision.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Music Therapy
  • Professional registration with IACAT
  • Demonstrable clinical experience in healthcare, educational, or community settings
  • High level of proficiency in voice and at least one accompanying instrument (e.g., guitar or piano)
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as part of an academic staff team
