Electrical Maintenance EngineerJob Description

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical maintenance services to ensure the smooth operation of equipment. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work together to maintain production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide reactive and planned maintenance support across the site
  • Install and commission plant/equipment, troubleshoot issues and perform basic programming and diagnostics
  • Maximize machinery uptime and minimize downtime in production areas
  • Execute preventive maintenance programs and troubleshoot using PLC Programs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, General Electric & Schneider Electric PLCs)

Technical support is also required for all plant facilities, including compressed air and refrigeration systems. You will assist the H&S team with risk assessments of new and existing machines and ensure that maintenance staff are up-to-date with safety training.

Qualifications/Experience/Skills
  • A relevant third-level qualification in Engineering or time-served Electrician/Fitter qualification/machine experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance role, with skills in planned and reactive maintenance
  • Working knowledge and experience of relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an analytical and decisive approach
