About the Role

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in driving the execution of sustainability initiatives.

The primary focus will be on ensuring alignment with our company's overarching sustainability objectives and contributing to progress toward net zero by 2050.

You will have a strong emphasis on tracking performance against key sustainability targets, analyzing relevant data, and supporting comprehensive sustainability reporting.

Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with colleagues to coordinate activities underpinning the Climate Transition Plan, which is a high priority as we accelerate our journey to net zero.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of Sustainability in shaping and implementing our Sustainability Strategy.
  • Contribute to the development and advancement of the Climate Transition Plan in collaboration with the Head of Sustainability.
Data Collection and Analysis
  • Collect and analyze greenhouse gas emissions data, particularly from various business departments, to assess their environmental impact.
  • Analyze ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) data from multiple departments to inform strategic decisions.
  • Prepare draft sustainability reports and assist in monitoring progress towards Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and regulatory requirements.
Internal Support and Coordination
  • Assist internal departments in identifying and developing specific sustainability KPIs.
  • Coordinate the integration of sustainability practices across functions.
  • Organize sustainability-related events such as campaigns, volunteer initiatives, or participation in industry forums.
External Engagement and Compliance
  • Liaise with external stakeholders on climate-related initiatives.
  • Research best practices and emerging trends in sustainable insurance, climate risk, and ESG investing.
About You
  • Experience in the field of Sustainability/ESG; experience in the financial services sector is desirable.
  • A solid understanding of sustainability concepts, regulations, and compliance requirements in the finance sector would be highly beneficial.
  • Relevant third-level qualification in Sustainability, Sustainable Finance, or a related field would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with international sustainability standards, certifications, and ESG Frameworks.
  • Proven track record of successfully completing sustainability-related projects and contributing to business outcomes.
  • A strong passion for sustainability.
